You can use a axe/spear/sword with +5 energy perminantly and +30 Health (or 20% enchanting). It works better then a wand that gives +5 energy only when your health is abouve 50%. PvPers have been using caster martial weapons consistantly for over a year now.

Yes because I wasn't done taking my @#$% in it yet. I love all the BMP weapons, best weapons in the game IMO, they have some of the highest texture resolutions, and complex graphical models. Hard to beat.

I don't understand this part. We weren't told that if you got the BMP, you were getting awesomely textured weapons. Shouldn't they have put those in GWEN? It would have made more sense. That, or giving ingame examples of the weapons with NPCs before the BMP was released, so it would push more people to get it.

There is some sense to that idea.

Then again, I bought the BMP just to play 4 special missions without any promise of a reward.

The BMP weapons have lost their novelty for me, like I new they would. I do love the fact that the quests were a lot of fun, and the rewards were shiny and gold. It just grew old as quick as anything else with almost no variables each time you play it.

The skins just aren't my style, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that dye doesn't show up on them for the most part. I did use a charr flatbow on my warrior for pulling and energy management (-5e) until I realised it keeps going though my head when I run, so I salvaged the mods & changed it for a nice feathered flatbow.

The quests were a nice bonus, the weapons were a nice bonus, but I don't think it's anything I'd choose to go play again or the weapons are worth getting again. Despite the gold req.9, it just doesn't feel special when I can create infinite copies of them for free.

I bought the BMP, don't don't find the repetitive grind of those missions interesting enough to be bothered getting the weapons.

To be fair, the advertisement for it said you would "earn unique rewards" (in the past that has always meant shiny new items), no ones fault but you own that you figured the thing would suck so you didn't bother with it. We didn't see the rewards for CE's or other special additions beforehand and no real reason to do so this time either. Now, for new players I do feel sorry for them as they never had a chance at any of it (it really should be included with any platinum edition Prophecies if you ask me - again with the whole "reward for people who supported us on faith" thing).

Personally other than the scythes I haven't used them - until the BMP only one or two of all the scythes out there really looked nice and their drop rate is low enough I haven't found one yet (I refuse to purchase them). The Tengu, Undead, and Mursaat scythes are some of the best looking in the game no matter the rarity or lack thereof.

I prefer some of the other "normal" skins and I already possess them for my characters and their heroes. Though had I not have been fortunate enough to have played long enough to amass those weapons these would have been highly used. As is I am also using some of the recurves until I bother to get one of the skins I really like to drop.

I still want them because IMO they are the best looking skins available in this game.

However, if you only to have BMP to get those leet skin weapons like me and the only to obtain them is spend real money, I wouldn't bother because it is just like buying gold or weapons with real life money.

Nobody purchased the BMP.

Yes it is a surprise (bonus) box, but considering that was the way it was promoted all along, I'm quite okay with that.

I've never been one for item skins. My Ele wore his undyed 1.5k Droknar's Forge Pyromancer armor right up until the release of Nightfall. I still use the Tyrian collector weapons and foci, both on my characters and my heroes. Getting access to BMP content and finding "clean" weapons I'd need to mod before I could use them was... meh.

To me, the BMP contains no replay value. I breezed through all four missions and haven't even bothered to come back for "discoveries." Yes, the stories were nice, but I did not enjoy "solo" play (another reason I'm not too excited about actually going through GWEN) enough to grind through the same content over and over, all to receive yet another weapon I need to mod. I get enough as drops from lockpicking and vanquishing, and those - even if they're bad - actually give mods or turn into cash.

I guess I'm more about functionality than skins, which is why the BMP has felt like "throwaway" content to me. And while I did like the stories, no, it was not worth the $30 in character slots I had to pick up. Next time, I'd rather miss out.

EDIT: Didn't see the above post when I typed the above, but I'm a shining example of "buying the BMP," Sirius I would never have gotten those character slots if the BMP wasn't on the line.

Technically you didn't, but effectively you did. It doesn't make much difference, of course, but as far as considering it a "shady deal", it does - difficult to lodge a complaint about something you got for free.
